By signing up and playing Vast Universe (VU), you are acknowledging that you have read and accept the terms and conditions outlined below.

• The developer of the game (humugus) have the right to change the terms and conditions at any time.
• You are wholly responsible for the security of your game account. If the security of your computer is compromised, we will not take responsibility for any damage caused by unauthorised access of your account.
• VU will not contact you via email in any way, except official notifications regarding your account and major game updates. We take privacy very seriously, and will not under any circumstances share your account details with any other party.
• We encourage you to promote Vast Universe, though employing any of the following will result in immediate termination of your account: spam, bulk mail, bulk forum postings, pop-up ads, pop-under ads, and unsolicited instant messages.
• Direct advertising other games is strictly forbidden within Vast Universe. This includes, but is not limited to: In Game Messaging, Game Boards, User or Federation pages, and the Game Boards.
• We reserve the right to refuse accounts to anyone for any reason.
• VU provides means for users to communicate with each other. The users are wholly responsible for the content of their communication. Any offensive communication in any way may result in account termination.
• Disrespectful or abusive conduct toward the game staff will result in account termination. The judgment of Game Admins is final, and any complaints must be presented respectfully by using the contact link at the home page of the game
• You agree to do nothing that interferes with other players playing the game in accordance with the rules.
• Any attempt by you to access the server through any means other than that designed, decompiling or "reverse engineering" is forbidden.
• The use of a bug, or hole in game code to your own gain will result in an instant ban. If you find such a bug, you are required to report it immediately to a Game Admin, and NOT pass this information to any other player.
• Only one game account is allowed per user per server. Multiple accounts on the same IP Address are subject to termination by VU.
• The use of any macro tools, bots, spiders or similar software based devices which automatically or semi-automatically engage in gameplay are forbidden.
• Any complaint or enquiry relating to an account will only be divulged/discussed with the account holder.
• All game accounts, including colonies, fleets, resources, support points, etc. are virtual objects of the game. The user does not obtain ownership or any other rights to any data pertaining to Vast Universe. All rights are reserved by VU. No rights, in particular no exploitation rights, are assigned to the user.
• Donations made to VU in any form are non-refundable.
• We are not liable for any damages to person or property, caused by the use of Vast Universe.
• We do not set out, nor intend to break any law. It is your responsibility to check the applicable laws in your country of residence.
• VU tries to ensure that all services are available on-demand. However, due to circumstances beyond our control, some services may not be available on-demand. No user has any claim regarding the availability of services.
